Maestro Vargas Announces Five SV Scholars

17 June 2020 | SVIMF Latest News

Maestro Vargas recently opened five positions for SV Scholars in his personal studio, giving an opportunity for these students to be integrated into the professional and artistic development activities offered through other Foundation projects. In weekly lessons, the participants are guided through intensive study of technique, musicality, and the discovery of their individuality, outlined through pedagogical strategies and intentional repertoire sequencing. All instruction, courses, and materials are given to the SV Scholars at no cost, thus these five applications were carefully selected from a pool of more than 50 interested students.

SVIMF sponsors Online Workshops and masterclasses for SV Scholars, which serve to build a holistic education for each of the students, refining skills such as repertoire planning, promotion, critical thinking, and language development. They interact virtually with one another and will be working toward a collective online performance set to be released in June 2020.The program also encourages and guides the most experienced performers to gain their own experiences in the art of teaching, spreading the power of classical music and creative education.
