Keely Kolbrek

Youth Advocate

Keely Kolbrek is a recent high school graduate of Maranatha Christian Academy outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota (U.S.). She will be attending Dordt University in Iowa (U.S.) beginning in August 2021. She is a passionate musician, student and athlete who loves to learn, taking every opportunity in her work and community to develop and display leadership, consistency, and diligence. Growing up in a musical home, Keely has been playing the piano since the age of six and has continued her musical experiences in both band and choir through Maranatha. She has also played keys with a worship team, leading Sunday morning church services and various youth activities.

Keely distinguishes herself through high academic performance, exemplified through her GPA, participation in the National Honor Society, and recognition as a National Merit Scholar semifinalist. She will carry her work ethic into college as she participates in choir, plays on the soccer team, and majors in engineering. Even as a young person herself, Keely regularly works alongside youth, acting as a role model and caregiver to many other children. She has worked and served among children at youth events, in churches, on sports teams, and through tutoring.

As Youth Advocate, Keely shares her perspectives on all materials targeted at our students, including educational programs and online presence. In sharing her voice, she maximizes engagement with the young audiences of SVIMF throughout the development of different musical, artistic, and professional projects.
