About SVIMF

The Samuel Vargas International Music Foundation serves students ages 6-28 in 24 countries across North and South America, Europe, and Africa. With emphasis on access and excellence, the organization aims to “enrich communities and society with the power of classical music and creative education.” It is with the access to these life-changing experiences that humanistic and creative values within communities are preserved and transformed to create even bigger impacts.

Our students participate in a variety of activities that provide them with opportunities in performance and teaching, as well as support for their emotional, personal, and artistic development. The greatest goal is to guide students on their unique path – in music and beyond. Through the use of online platforms, students develop their potential and valuable skills to engage their own communities through leadership, discipline, and creativity.

SVIMF is a virtual network fully composed of volunteers around the world. Though we are based in the United States (HQ: Columbus, GA), a majority of our audience resides in Spanish-speaking countries, requiring us to operate as a bilingual organization. In order to best serve the families of our growing organization, we are planning for expansion of the leadership team. All positions are non-contractual, volunteer opportunities at this time.

Qualifications

  • Passion for music, youth, and/or education (musical background not required)
  • Willingness to advocate for the mission of SVIMF
