Celebrating One Year Partnership

11 August 2021 | SVIMF Latest News

This August marks one year of partnership with Beats and Books of Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. SVIMF is extraordinarily proud of this program which whole-heartedly continues to support the holistic growth of these students within and in addition to musical development. We began with 8 violin students last year, and we now have 15 young violinists and 2 guitarists!  Thank you to Founder/Director Cornelius Ngosa for your heart, determination, and humor, staff members Carla Isaacson, Simamkele Koneit, Jonathan Isaacson, and Raytheo Afrika for hours of service and generosity, Miana Rademeyer for your leadership, and countless volunteers and family members.

-Elena Kolbrek, Executive Director

Thank you to SVIMF teachers Elena Kolbrek and Carlos Bedoya for your dedication. Here’s to many more years of collaboration and growth together.

Words from the founder of Beats and Books

I’ll never forget the prompt from Gracie Shan to check out our now sustainability partners. Our music program at @beatsandbooksint will never be the same. Who would have thought? Looking forward to reaching through the sky as we hold arms together to develop our children and our communities. Thank you doesn’t express our gratitude enough. Here’s to many more years of collaboration and growth together.

Words from Beats and Books team

Hooray! And to many more years to come! May what has been established continue to receive nourishment for greater growth and for many generations to benefit from. We believe that it takes the whole village to raise a child and @vargas_foundation fleshes that out in how you have embraced us and our children. Thank you for your relentless love through your dedicated teachings without borders. Thank you for thrusting us into a new realm of reality. Our musicians are destined to excel. From the single moms to the supportive grandmas and all our children’s guardians, our heartfelt THANK YOU for your generosity in gifting our students with excellent professional music lessons. Cheers Amigos!!
